Vegas Lovers

Welcome to Vegas Reviews!

vegasreviews

We're the social Facebook Club of "Vegas Lovers" who can't wait until their

next visit to Sin City.

Our History with Vegas

My wife and I have visited Vegas since our very first stay in 1989 at the

once Maxim Hotel, (kitty corner to the now Bally's Las Vegas, formerly the
MGM Grand Hotel and Casino on 3645 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas).

Our first arrival onto the Vegas Strip was the same time Steve Wynn

started building the Mirage resort. The Mirage was an awe-inspiring sight
with the Volcano just beginning it's formation. At the time we never realized
that one day we would stay at the Mirage too.

Steve Wynn left us with a wonderful first impression on Vegas. We knew

right there and then, Vegas was our home away from home.

Inexperience with Sin City, it was overwhelming to gamble at the slot
machines and play Blackjack, but after a couple of visits, we learned to only
play with the monies you brought with you. In other words, we had
entertainment money, and once gone, that was it. That's when we began
taking on the pool scene.

Fun on the Slot Machines

Who remembers the days of collecting your winnings of coins filled in little

plastic cups. It was common to see slot machine goers with their hands
blacken from handling the coins and arms full of plastic cups, headed to the
"cashier".

It was always fun to watch the cashiers place the mirage of coins in the

"sorting machines" whirling them through with a "counter" revealing how
much you won!

And of course, let's not forget those midnight breakfast specials offering

steak and eggs for only $2.99. We always made sure we stayed up long
enough to enjoy these great specials, even though it meant more gambling.
At the end, I'm sure that steak and eggs special really wasn't a savings after
all, if you count in the time at the slot machines.

The pool scene was part of our stay, when billboards showcased Sammy

Davis Jr. up to this very day in 2014.

Vegas Pool Scene

When visiting The Venetian Las Vegas, Caesars Palace, The Bellagio,

MGM Grand, Aria, The Luxor, Cosmopolitan, The Wynn and numerous
other Mega Vegas Resorts we have stayed; my wife and I have always
indulged in the pool scene.

As a matter of fact we make a point to spend our mornings at the pool.

It's always a good idea to arrive early, specially during the summer months.

Arriving by 8:30 am will promise you "Prime" real estate poolside, but the
later you show up the less chance you'll find a lounge chair.

Unless you decided to reserve your lounge chair, Day Beds or Cabanas.

Each hotel offers a competitive premium price to suit your lifestyle or, like

Aria, the convenience of reserving your lounge chair on-line, before you
even leave for your vacation.

A Day Bed can cost you around $150 - $300 for a small group of party

goers, couples and/or families. Please check each resort for their exclusive
prices.

Shaded Cabanas offer amenities, such as:

  • Privacy
  • A fully stocked fridge with non-alcoholic drinks
  • LCD HD TV
  • A inviting Mister (cool water mist)
  • Internet connection - Wi-Fi
  • Lounge chairs
  • Telephone
  • Dining table for 4
  • A safe for your valuables
Your very own private host will offer drinks and food selections of your
choice at an additional cost. Hungry? Just ask for a menu!

Each Vegas Resort offers their variation and will answer to any special
requests, to make your stay enjoyable.

The cost for Cabanas range from $350 - $900 accommodating 6 - 8 guests

with the Mega Cabanas from 10 plus. Prices range from off season to
peak season accommodation; check the resort you're staying with to
confirm costs.

After all, its about having "Fun in Vegas", an oasis in the middle of the

Nevada desert.

  • An exclusive meeting with the "Hotel Resorts President"
  • One free buffet

Our Stay at The Venetian Las Vegas - Wonderful

Our Stay at the Venetian Las Vegas was in one word : Wonderful
From the time we arrived to the time we left our stay was looked after by the most pleasant professional employees who always had a cheerful smile, making you feel welcomed throughout the Venetian Hotel  Properties.

My wife and I stayed on the 5th floor of The Venetian Las Vegas Hotel in the Luxury Suite featuring a King Bed ( 650 sq ft room). The room was clean and very inviting after a long trip into Vegas.

The restroom is fashioned with a Roman Tub along with a separate glass-enclosed shower. And if you missed any sports reviews, not to worry, the bathroom was equip with an HD TV.  My wife enjoyed all the accessories that you could ask for including a separate make-up unit with close-up mirror.

The living room off from the on-suite bedroom was fit for a King featuring the most comfortable sofa, a glass-topped coffee table and a large HD TV of course. In fact the whole suite had three HD TV's, just in case you missed the Seattle Seahawks last game.

Our very next day my wife and I indulged ourselves poolside at one of the many pools at the Venetian Las Vegas. Of course this was after having a hearty breakfast at the Grand Lux Cafe' which filled us up with great tasty portions.

Poolside at the Venetian Las Vegas  is totally inviting on a hot August day of 37C . Once again the service was immediate and impeccable featuring cocktail girls and concerning life guards making sure our day at the pool was a total success.

Our next  activity is without question, the Gondola Rides offering a peak of Venice by taking a ride down the Grand Canal.

That evening we decided to try out Delmonico Steakhouse  for a mouth-watering Rib-Eye Steak (Bone-In) along with fresh buttered asparagus and stuffed fluffy Baked Potato

The total price at Delmonico Steakhouse including drinks came out to approximately $150.

My wife tried out a supreme chicken dish called the Grilled Marinated Organic Chicken Breast. She was impressed and delighted by her choice.

And for dessert we shared the Pecan Pie ( with Oatmeal Shortbread Crust with Vanilla Ice Cream and Caramel Sauce). A great way to finish off a gourmet meal.

Canyon Ranch SpaClub

The very next morning I made a point of checking out the Canyon Ranch SpaClub at the Venetian Las Vegas. I think a must after that wonderful meal the night before.  I was immediately greeted and welcomed to this lovely facility where I asked to see the workout equipment before I made my daily choice of working out. The staff made me feel very comfortable and as a special guest - very impressive to say the least.

StairMaster

Treadmills with Elliptical Trainers in Foreground

My daughter tells me the StairMaster is for sure a good workout, but I decided to go for the Elliptical Trainer instead. After all, I am on holidays :)    (The Elliptical Trainer is just in the immediate foreground with showcasing the Treadmills).

Very Impressive Rock Wall
Going down the staircase to my workout plan my eyes popped out to see this grand rock wall waiting to be climbed. It must of been at least 20 feet tall but don't quote me on that. If my daughter was here I would sure of challenged her to a climb. But thank goodness she was home or I be in trouble - lol :)

The Venetian Las Vegas

The Venetian Las Vegas Hotel has so much to offer and I'm thinking next time we go I like to try out  The Venezia Tower featuring its own private pool garden along with award-winning Bouchon Restaurant and, my daughter would love this- A romantic wedding Chapel - prefect for her wedding plans for 2014.
And lets not forget getting Prestige Treatment at their sister hotel, The Palazzo.
So many choices that we must come back to indulged ourselves feeling like Kings and Queens.

Enjoying Vegas in Baby Steps

Jumping off the plane at the McCarran International Airport, Las Vegas Nevada you are excited to spend you days and nights in fun filled Las Vegas. But since this is your first time you have no idea what’s in store for you.

The Vegas Strip :

Enjoy Facebook Vegas Reviews just for fun

First Impression

Your first impression along the Vegas Strip takes you back, overwhelmed by the awe inspiring billion dollar Vegas Resorts towering above and with each property extending a good eight blocks. You crank your neck looking above at these massive giants realizing why they cost billions of dollars.
The shuttle finally arrives at your destination; your first pick just happens to be T.I. (Treasure Island Hotel & Casino). You tip the driver a couple of dollars and head into the themed resort following along with everyone else to stand in-line ready to check-in.  You’re surprised how quick the line is going and before you know it, you’re greeted by a smiling front desk clerk asking for your name, drivers license (mandatory in the State of Nevada – before you go be sure your driver’s license is updated and hasn’t expired. You must be 21 years or older).
Within seconds the clerk asks you if you would like to up-grade and your response this time is no, just because it’s your first time in. (It’s a good idea to up-grade – but be sure you understand the extra costs and what you can afford it)

Baby Steps

  1.     After you check in – head over to your resorts Player Card Desk. Each Corporation has their own Player’s Card.
  2. Make the most of gambling at the hotels that honor your Player’s Card. (Hint: The more you play – food purchases & entertainment signed to your room may become free)
  3.   Sign your food and entertainment purchases at your hotel. Do most of your meals at the hotel where you’re staying.
  4.  Going to a Show? Try to see a show that’s in your Vegas Resort and sign it to your room
  5.  Don’t try to see all of Vegas at once. Vegas can be overwhelming – if you’re on the South end – try to explore more of the South end. For Example: Let’s say you’re staying at Luxor Hotel and Casino – Check out Excalibur, Mandalay Bay Resort, MGM Grand, New York New York, Monte Carlo Resorts and City Center. You will spend enough of your valuable time just checking out these Las Vegas Properties.
  6. If you want to spend one day on the North side of Las Vegas – just plan ahead – realize it will take you most of your day. Simply because there is so much to see.
  7. Make a point of checking out the pools; not only is it relaxing, but it gives you time to think out your day. Be sure to arrive early, around 8:00 – 8:30 am should give you enough time to save your lounger. If you want to go have breakfast, set down your hat or some article you won’t care if it’s gone when you come back. Or check out the poolside restaurants. But always be sure to save your lounger.
  8. For Transportation – Use the deuce bus system or the Las Vegas Monorail system.
  9. Only gamble what you can afford – Before heading to Vegas always have a budget planned ahead. Set aside an amount of money you will spend on gambling each day you are there. For example: Let’s say you set aside $300 per day just for gambling. Spread out your gambling for the whole day. Don’t spend it all at once. If you’re winning, think of that as entertainment money. Always cash out while you’re ahead and never get greedy. Take a break from the gambling – go have something to eat. Never expect to win and always expect you will lose your gambling money; think of it as a form of entertainment. With these small simply rules, you won’t leave Vegas disappointed.
  10.  The last suggestion is: Your first time down to Vegas go for just 3-4 days and then expand your days the more experienced you become. Always plan your trip ahead and never make any rash on-the-spot decisions. Plan to come back more than once. Make it one of your yearly holiday destinations.

Colosseum at Caesars Palace

Category: Music Venues
Neighbourhood: The Strip

The Owners:

The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is one of the best entertaining spots in Las Vegas. The company's resorts operate primarily under Caesars Entertainment with  over 70,000 employees.

Caesars Entertainment owns Caesars Palace, Harrah's Horseshoe, Planet Hollywood, Paris, Rio, Flamingo, Imperial Palace, Ballys, Harveys, Tunica Roadhouse, Grand Biloxi,London Clubs International ,Total Rewards and of course the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

About :

The Colosseum was built with Celine Dion in mind.

The Colosseum is a modern replica of Rome's architectural wonder, complete with world class acoustics and a classic style. Designed to accommodate stage shows of all varieties, including the world-reknowned Caesars' headliners, The Colosseum seats an impressive 4,298 with no seat farther than 120-feet from the stage and is equipped with state-of-the-art audio and visual elements, including one of the largest indoor high-definition LED screens in North America (120-feet wide by 33-feet tall)

The Personal Experience:

The first time I decided to see one of the venues at The Colosseum, I hesitated because of the rich price tag to see any of the stars, like : Cher, Shania Twain, Jerry Seinfeld, Celine Dion,Elton John and Rod Stewart.
The price tag can cost a couple $400, so you can understand my hesitation. While in Vegas I was lucky enough to win some cash from one of slot machines at Caesars Palace, so it help seal the deal and take in the venue of Cher.

Entering the vast sound proof complex, I was at awe at its architectural structure, not to mention the organized polite staff. Within minutes we were seated within the grand Colosseum.
The seating was very well designed, comfortable and enough elbow room that you didn't have the feel of a packed sardine.
We were along the top third tier and were a little concerned if were even going to be able to see Cher never mind hear her.
But, as soon as the performance began, the whole stadium was taken back by how close everything was. It is actually what they said - no seat farther than 120 ft from the stage. What an incredible design and Cher entertained us like I've never seen before in my life.
The whole show was fabulous and Cher's singing actually brought tears to my eyes;quite an accomplishment for this particular male species.
Looking Down from the 27th Floor of Caesars Palace - poolside

In Conclusion:
The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is well worth the price and offers the best of the best from entertainment to comfort.  Our next show I plan on seeing in Sept 2012 is Shania Twain for two reasons. First, Shania Twain is from Alberta Canada and secondly, I love her songs.
Take time to see one of the venues of your choice - it will be the best time you will ever had.
And remember you're there to have "fun". Make the best of your time and enjoy the shows.

Vegas lies in the middle of Nevada's Mojave Desert where over thirty-eight million tourist visit every year. Vegas hotels bring in an easy ten million dollars per year from this popular entertainment destination.

Vegas, born in the early 1931 due to legalized gambling in the State of Nevada. By spring of 1946 a Jewish Gangster named Meyer Lansky (born Meyer Suchowljanski) (July 4, 1902 - January 15, 1983; known as the "Mob's Accountant"), became very interested in developing a hotel in Vegas.
Meyer Lansky was well known in the American organized crime, responsible for over four hundred mysterious deaths. He had strong ties with the Italian Mafia by hiring within this organization to carry-out hits. He would hire a hit man named Siegel Benjamin from time to time who was member of the East Coast Italian Mob.
Lansky used Gang boss Siegel (known as Bugsy) to instigate most of his criminal activities. In 1937 he sent Bugsy to Los Angeles to tighten syndicate money operations. His career was fronted as a legal gambler at the Santa Anita Park a hop, skip and jump from Los Angles. Bugsy was responsible for the Murder Inc. who killed "Big Greenie" Greenberg, a police informant, with his fellow gang member, Whitney Krakower. Greenberg's death was Bugsy's attempt to further his reputation from organized crime, but the heat was still on.
Lansky wanted Siegel involved first-hand in the development of the new Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas. He forced Siegel to become part of the operations of the new William R. Wilkerson's prestigious Flamingo Hotel. Siegel apparently hated the desert and wanted to stay with his family in Los Angeles; Lansky prevailed.
With great resentment Siegel started the lavish operation of building the Flamingo Hotel without the approval of William R. Wilkerson. He was way over budget by use of his inside black market where costs reached well-over the one million dollar figure within just the plumbing itself. Apparently the costs were enormous with an additional surprise purchase of a kitchen costing a mere $29,000 (today, you would be lucky to purchase an Alto-Shaam Cook and Hold Oven for that price). The project was soon to be completed in the spring of 1947 with soaring costs of over $6 million. This price obviously caught the attention of his boss earlier than Siegel was aware of - back in 1946. Lansky knew Siegel was stealing money from the mob and ordered a hit against Siegel.

On June 20, 1947 Siegel, back home in Los Angles enjoying an evening paper, when he was shot five times, once in his right eye. You may remember this scene in the famous movie Godfather series where a Flamingo owner named Green was shot in the right eye; apparently getting the information from Siegel's staged killing.
It wasn't long before the Mafia had strong hold of Vegas, with the Chicago Mafia being the strongest of them all. The Chicago Mafia built eight hotels, such as the Stardust, The Riviera hotel and the Tropicana. The glamour of organized crime and the possibilities of rubbing shoulders with movie stars frantically brought the public to Vegas, not realizing that the Chicago Mafia used illegal benefits on the casino floor. The atmosphere in Las Vegas was exciting, as Frank Sinatra, Lauren Bacall and David Niven.
In 1950 the population of Vegas grew from 25,000 to over 65,000 residences. By 1966 Vegas grew attention from Howard Hugh's. Although Howard Hugh's already owned 25,000 acres outside of Las Vegas, he was very interested in monopolizing on property within the city of Las Vegas. At first his interest was primarily the airport, TV Station and more raw land, he had no idea he was going to pursue his interest into Vegas hotels.
During his investment of properties within Vegas, he and his Mormon accountants occupied the complete top of the Sands Inn who was owned and operated by the Chicago Mob. Howard was not interested in gambling but quickly received the attention of the Chicago Mafia due to occupying the elite floor of the Sands Hotel. It wouldn't be a problem if Howard would gamble on the casino floor, but that wasn't even considered. After weeks of holding rooms and not giving their high-rollers any chance to use the rooms, the Chicago Mafia gave Howard an ultimatum. It has been stated that, "Either Howard leave the hotel or he would be forcibly moved out"
To Howard Hugh's this was just an invitation to "Buy-out" the competition, which he did in 1967. Howard Hugh's bought the Desert Inn and his employee, Bob carried out the formalities. It wasn't long after that, that Howard had caught "Vegas Fever" - he phoned up Bob and laughing he asked his employee, "How much of these toys are available?" Bob was taken back and asked," What toys do you mean Howard? Apparently Howard laughed some more and said," How many Hotels...how many Hotels are available? From that point on, just as Sammy Davis Jr. Said once, "Howard Hugh's is the only man I know who plays monopoly with real hotels...
Howard Hugh's proceeded to buy off the Frontier, the Silver Slipper, the Sands hotel and many more. The Chicago Mafia loved the fact the Howard Hugh's was buying out the hotels, because as far as they were concerned, it took-off the heat of the Attorney General, the well-known Bobby Kennedy. Bobby Kennedy and The President of the United States - John F. Kennedy objective was to clean-up organized crime. Unfortunately, this brought the assassination of John F. Kennedy, leading back to the Chicago Mafia.

In 1970, four years after his first purchase of the Desert Inn, Howard Hugh's lost his interest in Vegas and decided to sell his investments in Vegas. Due to paranoia Howard left for the Bahamas for unseen reasoning. But, that is Howard.
[When I was a teenager I had the fortune of meeting Howard Hugh's in Vancouver, just by mistake. My parents left me in the hotel by myself (not a good idea); I decided to take a little adventure and check out the top of the hotel. Little did I know that an aging Howard Hugh' occupied the top floor. Sure enough I was confronted by plain clothed bodyguards who high-tailed me out. But, just before they were going to usher me out, Howard Hugh's stopped them as he made his regular walks on the top floor. He said to me, "You want some advice?" At the time I had no idea who this important person was. All I knew, he had to be important to have bodyguards. I remember looking up at him, a very sick pale man. I said," Huh, yeah sure, as long as you don't tell my parents." He laughed, coughed and gasped. He said," Never get caught..." I grinned and was escorted back to my room.
Just after Howard Hugh's left Vegas, a head mafia figure came to town, Anthony Spilotro. He had a vindictive personality making sure that everyone was honest when it came to the illegal skimming, a creative opportunity for the Mafia to collect money from its own casino's without being on record. That basically means "Free Money" non-taxed illegal funds. It has been said they collected over $300,000 per month during this operation, with money going to head office in Chicago.
Anthony (Tony) Spilotro was thought to be the main control in Vegas, but was not the case. Tony was just another gang boss within the Chicago Mob. The Mafia always needed someone to appear as controlling a legitimate business, and this is where Alan Glick came in. Alan Glick was a 34 year old lawyer who started the Argent Corporation which took out a loan of over $60 million( loan was given to him by means of the Teamster Union by Hoffa himself) to purchase Stardust, Freemont hotel and Marina's. It was important for the mafia to showcase a legitimate corporation by use of Alan Glick. Apparently Alan Glick wasn't aware that the mafia had control; I think not. It wasn't long before Alan Glick realized he had no control over the mega hotels.
In the background was Frank Rosenthal who just so happen was raised in Chicago and a long time friend of Tony Spilotro. To this day, the FBI has never been able to link Frank Rosenthal with the Chicago Mafia. Frank Rosenthal was well known in Vegas when he started his very own show called "The Frank Rosenthal Show", apparently to deceive the FBI to his mob connections. It must have worked, because today he lives at fine old age as a multi-millionaire in Miami South Beach.
The Mafia seems to be profitable until Tony Spilotro decided it was "ok" to venture his illegal activities outside the Vegas Strip. In 1979 he allowed fellow gang members (known as the "Hole in the Wall" Gang) to rob homes and businesses within Vegas, as long as Tony Spilotro received dividends called "Street Tax". Everything went to plan with robberies of 3-4 homes per night bringing in an estimate $100,000 per month. It looked like the mobsters were winning the game of organized crime with lawyers, judges and political officials in their back pocket.

The FBI had inside word from an informant of a big jewelry heist at the Bertha's Jewelry Store. It was their first big break to catch the mafia red-handed. On Independence Day using fireworks as a cover the "Hole in the Wall" Gang proceeded to rob Bertha's Jewelry Store by crashing through the roof top. They had no clue that the whole police force were waiting in the biggest Stake- out in Vegas history.
The Gang was apprehended with no contest and it wasn't long before the head leader, Frank Culotta turned into a government informant, placing heat on Tony Spilotro. The heat from the FBI turned Tony Spilotro very paranoid, with public spotlight by means of paparazzi. With all the unwelcomed publicity to the Chicago mafia, Tony Spilotro and his younger brother were found dead in a corn-field in Indiana, not far from the head mafia's golf retreat.
Today, Vegas Strip is a vibrant humming giant with legitimate businesses holding the interest in mega hotel chains. It seems that the mafias is no longer in Vegas...or are they :)

Vegas Tips with Vegas Reviews

One of the Pools at Ceasars Palace, Las Vegas

 Vegas Spending Tips
You don’t necessary have to be on a budget when in Vegas, but it is always a plus to spend wisely. Vegas Reviews has been going to Vegas twice or three times a year for the last twenty years. Within these twenty years we have found increasing changes benefiting the Vegas Customer.
Top Ten Tips:
1.       As soon as you’re settled in your favorite hotel, be sure to get your Rewards Card (Free) to ensure the most out of your stay.
2.       Wherever you stay, be sure to spend most of your time eating at your hotel. Be sure to sign all your meals to your room (once you have your Rewards Card). Depending on your gambling adventures you can get up to 75% to 95% of your meals paid for by the hotel. Each hotel wants your business and awards you for using their facility.  Always keep track of what you spend daily and never go above your means. This way you will never be disappointed if the hotel doesn't comp your meals. Think of it as a bonus.  I must also say the Rewards Cards are always changing and make sure you ask all the questions before hand.
3.       Tip your waiter/waitress separately – as the hotels do not pay for your tips. Tip is usually 15- 20%. Of course only tip when you have rewarding service. We have never had bad service and the best part, the next day your waiter/waitress most likely will remember you, making your stay a pleasant experience.
4.       Going to a Show or attraction?  Be sure to charge it to your room.  It may be complimentary.
Be sure to explore the Vegas Strip by experiencing free displays, like the Fountains of Bellagio or their breathtaking Conservatory & Botanical Gardens. Palazzo also features theme decor featuring seasons and special events. Take in the new Cosmopolitan beside Bellagio featuring an interesting free display of artistic models. Check out the CityCenter featuring Aria, Vdara, Mandarin Oriental, Crystals and the Veer Towers – it’s all free to enjoy their decor and established shops.

5.       If it’s your first stay in Vegas, you might find it overwhelming. The best way to avoid impulse buying or gambling is to plan ahead. Of course, join our free interactive Vegas Reviews giving honest reviews from our interactive group throughout the world.  Vegas Reviews tells it exactly has it is without demeaning or badgering a hotel. Vegas Reviews just gives an honest opinion. Join Vegas Reviews and don’t forget to share your experiences or ask a question. Being interactive, our free members will share their opinion that may help you decide on your next stay in Vegas. All the hotels of Vegas want your business and pride themselves on making your stay very enjoyable. If you do find a fault or a disagreeable employee please be sure to let the hotel know on Facebook  They will respond to fix the error – Bottom line: They value your business and want your stay to be the best experience you ever had.

6.       Vegas Reviews has stayed at these fine hotels and highly recommend: Bellagio, Caesars Palace, T.I. (Treasure Island), WynnLasVegas , Planet Hollywood and The Venetian Las Vegas
Vegas Reviews has also stayed at the Mirage and Excalibur. We have found that Excalibur was a no –thrills type of hotel with excellent food but basic rooms. While at the Excalibur we could have upgraded but decided to try out a basic room. The cleaning staff are wonderful and pleasant; just saying “Good Morning or Hello” was a plus. Our stay at the Mirage had its moments, but overall the stay was good. The restaurant called Stacks was enjoyable and very professional. We highly recommend Stacks and our stay poolside at the Mirage was very enjoyable.

7.       During the pool season you can enjoy a very comfortable stay poolside. The only trick here is to claim your spot by 8:00 am or you may find yourself without a lounge chair. You do have the option of renting a day bed or the lavish comforts of a Cabana (please check prices with your hotel and it’s a good idea to book ahead. The Cabana is great for a family reunion. For example: At Caesars Palace there are over 40 new cabanas in all, with stocked refrigerators, flat-screen TVs, DVD players, wireless Internet, ceiling fans and plush furniture. Some of the deluxe services offered poolside include chilled towels and body massages.  Evian face spritzers as well as an iPod dock are also available with our VIP Cabanas.  Or, just keep it simple and lay out in one of our 832 deck chairs or any of our other additional rentable furniture.

8.       Book the popular shows ahead of time. These main shows are always booked by the time you arrive in Vegas. These shows may be “O” Cirque du Soleil® at the Bellagio or The Colosseum featuring Celine Dion at the The Colosseum Las Vegas.  You don’t really have to book ahead  these featured attractions : See 2 Shows for $75 per person at either the Excalibur or Luxor.  Try out  SpongeBob, Bodies, Titanic, the Shark Reef, Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden & Dolphin Habitat, The Roller Coaster or the CSI : The Experience. Each of these attractions is ideal for charging to your room, as mentioned above.

9.       Always keep track of your spending habits daily. The reason for this, if you fall off the band wagon of spending you can re-adjust your spending the next day. If you find yourself over spending at the casino – take a break. Go back to your room, relax and take time to reflect . This may sound corny, but you would be surprise how quickly your spending habits can get out of hand.  Always have a budget for casino spending and keep to it. Head over to the Bellagio for a free walk through the Conservatory & Botanical Gardens or take in check out the countless buffets from Caesars Palace to Luxo

10.   Last important tip is to make sure you give yourself time if you’re heading down the strip. Expect delays and overcrowded buses. You can walk, but just realize it’s time consuming and your feet will hurt from pounding the pavement. To make your walk more pleasant, have good walking shoes, take at least four breaks and make sure you sit for a good fifteen minutes before you continue on along your journey across the Vegas Strip. And last, take water with you – very important.

The above top ten spending tips are the opinion of Vegas Reviews and not necessarily the opinion of others. If you have a suggestion in Spending Tips in Vegas – please feel free to offer your suggestion. The more suggestions will help all. Happy times in Las Vegas J
Please share your experiences with Vegas Reviews :)
