Cher By Vegas Reviews

Photo of Cher by MCM Machado Cicala Morassut

NOTE : Photo is by Machado Cicala Morassut - Please see his website HERE
Good Morning Everyone!
Here's a interview with Cher which I obviously had to share by Las Vegas Weekly. During my lifetime I watched Sonny and Cher, first on the Ed Sullivan Show and then their hip hop Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour in the early 1970's. ( shhhh... I'm not telling my age).
Did you know one of the writers of that show was Steve Martin.
Yes ! Steve Martin ! Go figure ! Isn't that so cool 😎 ?
Sonny wrote a lot of the songs where Cher's voice just killed it ! Her voice is certainly is superior and (must we even mention) a well trained vocalist. During the 1960's the song "I Got You Babe" was a big hit ! I was just 10 years old before I ever heard this song, during their hit Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour, that took off in the early 1970's.

 Cher

It still is one of my favourites.

Before the 1970's they made a bunch of hit songs until around 1967. Now get this, because of their drug-free lifestyle and pop songs they weren't as popular as say the acid rock groups.
Say what ?! Go figure!
SO - like Sonny does, he decides to do shows in ...yup...YOU guessed it - LAS VEGAS !
During their time in Vegas in the late 1960's they did the comedy along with Cher's amazing singing. Apparently during one of their shows, a couple of TV scouts noticed the fun Sonny and Cher.
By 1970 they were on television.
Their show grew into the popular Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour, as I remember it. To me it was a pretty remarkable show. Even after Sonny and Cher broke up, Cher was back in Vegas, this time without Sonny.

I've always loved Cher 😎 So when I finally saw her in person during 2010 at the Caesars Colosseum, Las Vegas, it was certainly a treat!
Now to hear of Cher coming back to Vegas for a final residency, this time as "Classic Cher" at the brand new PARK THEATRE by MGM, is awesome news, as I mentioned last week too.
Do you remember all the photos I shared with you of The Park, Las Vegas ? One of the photos was the PARK THEATRE still being built this past summer. At the time I was wondering who was going to perform in this new MGM Theatre.

Cher is said to begin her new legacy on February 8 2017. WOW!
Cher is just remarkable to say the least. I really don't know Cher (only from her shows) but she seems so sweet during all of her performances, but her recent Twitter wars with Donald Trump is the other side of Cher.
Will the real Cher please stand up.
I get the impression Cher is NOT scared to say what's on her mind. And I guess that's a good thing. With Cher you know what your getting and don't piss her off or else all hell will break loose. At least that's my impression. I sent her a tweet not too worry if Trump gets in, because she's very much welcome to stay in Canada. As a matter of fact I wrote an article about it here :
Hopefully she just might read it - lol.
Oh - BTW - if you missed it - read this other article of mine too - it has what America wants :

 Vegas Reviews

Cher is truly a remarkable and resilient woman who has been in the public eye since she was 16 years old. That's a long time in show business from tours, movies to TV shows. Not too mention her Grammy and Academy Awards!
In this stage of life, (a little pun there) Cher doesn't have to prove anything but to continue what she loves to do. And that is to sing! There's a hint that she will have other guests and high-tech goodies on her new show in Las Vegas. We will all have to see for ourselves.
Believe it or not, Cher and I have two things in common.
We both have asthma and we both do a lot of research. In fact half of my day is research, while the other half is writing.
Oh wait!
Maybe there's three things in common - We are all Vegas Lovers ! This will be the last time for Cher in Las Vegas, so if by any chance, get yourself down to Vegas ! This is the time to enjoy the professional performances of lovely CHER. Get Tickets today!
I missed Cher by the magic number 10 - she's ten years older then me. She was born on May 20 - I was born on May 30th - GO figure!
Is this fate or what - lol.
AND - one of her dates in the Park Theatre at Monte is on her birthday, May 20, 2017.
Anyway - I hope your enjoying your weekend and as always I will see YOU in Vegas! Cher - I got you babe 😎

PS - I have no idea whats going on with Blogger lately - the spaces in my sentences have nothing to do with the way Im writing this article. Blogger has gone crazy!

Driving up to the Bellagio, Las Vegas, it would be hard not to recognize the

Our Experience

Coming through the main entrance lobby, your eyes are immediately glued to the chandelier boasting a colorful boutique arrangement seemly dancing across the 18 foot ceiling.  It's a step into elegance, showcasing it's artistic glass sculpture called "Fiori di Como" sculptured by Dale Chihuly.

Your arrival is greeted by, what I like to call a  "Guest Services Specialist", who really do care about your stay.  I felt like I was getting that special VIP treatment.  The seamless check-in host gave us a FREE upgrade to a deluxe room on the 27th floor overlooking the glorious Fountains of Bellagio.

Seriously.

I really did feel like a "Hollywood Star" stepping into our room.  You know you made the right choice when everything you see takes your breathe away from the adore of luxury.
The next morning, we woke up well-rested in our lavish King-size bed made for any Queen or King.

Breakfast was next on our list, so we decided  to try out Café Bellagio.  I love how you get to stroll through the Conservatory & Botanical Gardens in order to get to Café Bellagio; such a beautiful setting.  Watching the humming effect of what you could be referred to as a "fine-running-machine", the hostess to your server gave that immediate attention.  In little time at all, the long line of guests were looked after in minutes, seated with a fresh coffee to start your day.

And the food - AWESOME!

Great tasting portions ready to suite any hungry guest. And trust me - I love my food!  If it's good I'm impressed, but when the whole experience is simply wonderful, I'm ecstatic !

Seriously.

Service now-a-days is the hardest thing to find.  It's indeed a pleasure when your whole body relaxes from the fine-tuned friendly service.  And thank you so much for the hard working Chefs giving us the most delicious meals.

Thank you!  Thank you!

Are you looking for the most relaxing vacation ever?  I highly recommend the Bellagio, Las Vegas.  It may be more pricey than other hotels on the strip, but the luxury is well well worth it!

Star Trek Convention Top Prime Directives

This year my daughter and son-in-law will be going to the Star Trek Convention 2015 at the Rio Suites Hotel, Las Vegas.  It was my task to prepare a Top 20 Prime Directive, to ensure their safety among other Aliens.

My daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter enjoying the Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas

1. Seek out new life and new civilizations, while in the Las Vegas Universe.

2. Non-interference is the Prime Directive.  Mingle is an important cover-up. After all, you ARE an 'Alien'.

3. Always keep your phaser on stun, just in case.

4. Remember, humans are highly illogical and may want to sell you something you don't need. Ask Quark for advice, but be careful, he too may want to sell you something.

5. While heading to Vegas, use Warp Drive. If you don't know how, just ask Scotty.

6. If in danger, use the VULCAN DEATH GRIPIt's sure to get you out in a pinch.

7. Let Captain Kirk know, "Having is not so pleasing then Wanting", therefore you want William Shatner's autograph. If he fails to comply, tell him Captain Jean-Luc Picard said it's imperative and," Make it so!" (I hear they're close friends, get both autographs. One for your dad too.)

8. Caution if you see any signs of frightened Tribbles, it's means a Klingon is near by.  Remember, phaser on stun!  But if you happen to run into Worf, he's on our side, and will help you out.

9. Your enemies may be invisible, they may be using a cloaking device. Take caution!  If necessary, ENGAGE and use that Vulcan death grip.

The Star Trek Series main Bridge

10. Don't wear a RED SHIRT - it's sure to lead you into trouble, according to Deanna Troi.  By the way, she also tells me, if you happen to bump into a Gorn- RUN! ( Gorn are Lizard beasts that will rip your head off) * See above photo that I took while fighting a Gorn during one of my visits to Vegas.

11. Mingle softly and follow this ancient advice," When in Rome, Do as the Romans Do".  In other words, party-like-hell in Sin City. (This is according to Lieutenant Commander Worf * - Federation Ambassador to Qo'noS; previously, strategic operations officer, Deep Space Nine and first officer, U.S.S. Defiant, and a hell-of-a-drinker, sure to drink anyone under the table.)

12. When going out into the Vegas Universe, "Boldly Go Where No Man or Woman has Gone Before - seek out Q for extra currency, but be careful not to ask for his advice!  He just may trap you into the 'Q Continuum'.

13. It's secretly known Vegas is caught in a TIME WARP, the days and nights seem to last forever, so go out and party hard, using logic if you can.

14. If logical fails while in Vegas, buy a powerful drink called,"Warp Core Breech" at Quarks Bar.  Most likely found at the Rio Las Vegas - ask for it by name.

15. If, by chance the bartender has NO IDEA what you are talking about, lead him to this ingenious website: Quarks Bar & Restaurant actual Drink Recipes.

16. If, by chance, the above drinks don't send you into Warp Drive, quickly seek out Mr. Spock, he'll help you in a pinch.

17. While exploring Alien Planet Hollywood Resort or Rio Las Vegas, check for a group of Officers wearing Gold or Blue Uniforms.  They're easy to find due to the fact, they don't know how to mingle.

18. If you happen to see Jeri Ryan at the Alien Colony called,'Rio Las Vegas' ( Seven of Nine) send her this message for your Dad," My Dad wants your autograph and picture!"  If she fails to comply, resort to blowing your cover and say,"Resistance is futile...we are the BORG."

19. By chance, if you bump into Lt. Sulu (George Takei), take a 'Selfie Picture' with him.  (I hear it was very popular in the 21st century).

20. If you get lost, seek out Vegas Reviews FUN Facebook Page  or Vegas Reviews
AND (most importantly) Live Long and Prosper in Vegas Warp Time.
